About The Reading Tree

The Reading Tree was built around a simple belief: every child deserves the opportunity to learn to read in a way that makes sense to them.

With 20 years of experience working with children, our founder has seen how the right support, structured teaching, and meaningful learning experiences can make a difference to a child's confidence.

The Reading Tree began during the COVID-19 pandemic, after returning from China, where she worked with young children learning to read and write in English, including children for whom English was an additional language. That experience helped shape a programme focused on making reading accessible, engaging and practical for young learners.

Over time, the programme and its resources have continued to develop through teaching experience, observation and a commitment to evidence-based reading instruction.
