Stage 3
Guided Reading & Writing
This stage of reading is a culmination of everything learned previously. During this stage children learn the ins and outs of language. They understand the WHY to it all and this stage requires the most independent practice.
Grammar & Punctuation
This section explores the 25 fundamental rules of reading and writing. It guides children through the rules step-by-step and introduces them to editing.
This means that children now have to apply what they have learned during their reading journey in Stage 1&2 and apply it.
It also explores the structure of writing.
Language Fundamentals
The section requires less guidance and allows children to put into practice what they've learned the grammar and punctuation rules.
Children explore the structure of language in an in-depth manner and edit as they go along.
